We who have a bit o' the green coursing through our veins
exchange Irish sentiments today covering nearly everything,
from concern about having an adequate supply of cold beer
to prayers for sturdy roofs over our heads
and ongoing bounty in our fields.
and ongoing bounty in our fields.
For those of us who sometimes tread with unsteady footing
on trails lined with personal challenges,
be it a dearth of good drink or the road's failure to rise,
'Tis my nature to be straightforward and practical.
If God sends you down a stony path,
may he give you strong shoes.

I'm wearing my celtic knot today too. :) Erin go bragh!
ReplyDeleteThinking of you today, with love. Gretta and I showed our "e" tats to the checker at Trader Joe's, he was wearing his mom's initials on a sweet neck chain. We all got a bit misty eyed.

Amen, sister - well said. I love her boots and necklace. God bless your beautiful girl - and you.
ReplyDeleteWell expressed, as usual. The best we can ask for in this life is the strength to deal with the events we encounter on this road. Those good boots - strength and the love of others - will serve one well. Thinking of you -
