Mine used to be ~
"19th Nervous Breakdown"
by The Rolling StonesHere it comes. Here it comes. Here it comes. Here it comes. Here comes your 19th nervous breakdown.
Quite appropriate and extremely necessary at the time!
Sarah & Erin agreed with my choice and helped me program it into my phone last year during a tough hospital stay. Sometimes situations call for a bit of sarcasm to break the cycle of insanity!
I recently changed, and it's now ~
"You Can't Always Get What You Want"
thanks again to The StonesYou can't always get what you want. You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimeyou just might findyou get what you need...
Pretty obvious reasons for this choice!
So ~ what's yours?

You can be "anonymous" if you want.
Come on :)
Fun question! I love my ringtone - it is of course, Sweet Caroline ... my Caroline set it for me, and I don't think I will ever change it.
ReplyDeleteCarol
Caroline's mom
Right now I have the standard ring which is sooooo boring! Usually I have a Zeppelin song, most likely Kashmir! I need a new one though! Hmmmmm project during lunch!
ReplyDeleteSarah
While I have a generic one (Sarah, think of one for me too), my mom of course has Stacy's Mom :)
ReplyDeleteStacy G.
I like this question....
ReplyDeleteCrazy Dreams - Carrie Underwood
I think you would like it Mrs. Potts
Maggie
I have "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw. I just recently changed it!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Kristin
Currently mine is "Chelsea Dagger," the Blackhawks' victory song. But I'm searching for a new one cause I guess I have to stop celebrating some time...
ReplyDelete~Ali D.
mine is a cricket chirping.
ReplyDeletesometimes, out in public, i overhear people saying, "Do you hear a cricket?"
it cracks me up.
I am boring!!! Just have the ring tone from my phone. All in coming calls have the same one, except the husband! He is one of a kind!
ReplyDeleteEvery time it rings, I can tell it's him! My heart still skips a beat.....xxoo
Quit rolling your eyes, Mary! Young love is cute...
That is so strange, Margaret...I have a special ring tone when your husband calls me, too!

You are killing me, Teri!!! (My eyes are rolling!)
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a name for mine. I think it is a 70s adult film theme. At least that's what people say when my phone goes off...How inappropriate!!!

I just got a new phone and your blog has inspired me to personalize my ringtone. So I choose Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit in the Sky". This was one of my son's favorite songs, and I also used it for the slideshow we created for his funeral. Now whenever my phone rings I feel like I have a little piece of my son with me. By the way - I loved that you put this idea on your blog.

Mine is just from the cell phone but it is a very light, high-pitched tinkle of a handbell. Whenever it rings my husband cries, "School's out!" (or he'll inquire, "Is that Margaret's husband calling again?") Irene O'
ReplyDeleteHey... he hasn't called me yet, and it's my blog!
ReplyDeleteHello????
SO interesting to hear from all of you. You guys all have great choices - some so sweet and meaningful - I looked up the lyrics to the ones I was unfamiliar with - thanks for sharing those.
And others are just plain fun.
Oh Margaret - you'll really like Irene. Don't worry!
This is the best time I've had in several days. Tough week here...
Carry on all. More responses please!

Go Cubs Go! That was my ringtone until they but such a crappy product on the field. I have switched to a generic tone and need to find a ring tone more fitting. Maybe the Naz fight song.
ReplyDeleteAngie
This made me smile so BIG, because I used to sing "You Can't Always Get What You Want" to the kids when they were young and nearing meltdown. Now that he's old enough to appreciate it, we've enjoyed the Stones' music with David. Timeless - and I think I just heard that they are re-releasing an old concert video soon? xoxo
ReplyDeleteback, two, three, pause, forward six, seven, pause,
ReplyDeleteclearly, mine needs to be a salsa.
Salsa is my excape from my busy busy brain.
I appreciate that insight into your busy brain.
Holly
make that escape
ReplyDeleteSo Mary.you encourage Margaret not to worry about Irene and her interest Mark? What about ME? You know...there are times when Mark is slapping me on the back and asking about my Mom when I know he really means "why don't YOU ever call me?!" Watch out Margaret...I have an effect on men..no snickering Margaret..no getting ill at the thought, Mark!
ReplyDelete:) Have a better weekend, Sweet Mary!
