When you are sorrowful look again in your heart,
and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

It Was Snowing Last Night, So I Pushed "Send"!

After hemming and hawing about whether or not to jump with both feet, I looked out the window last night, and there it was. It was snowing, hard!

This wooden snowflake hangs from the pine bough that reaches over the earth where Erin now rests. Peace to all of you.

Begin doing what you want to do now.
We are not living in eternity.
We have only this moment,
sparkling like a star in our hand--melting like a snowflake.
Let us use it before it is too late.

  1. Reflect on this when you are dying and you will depart more easily thinking: “I am leaving the kind of life in which even my associates, for whom I labored, prayed, and planned so much, are very willing to carry me to my grave, hoping perhaps for some relief from my death.” Erin did not go as one who is being torn from life, but as one who departed in peace to higher nourishment alongside her Heavenly Father. And so, she left her associates in her due time, for it was her natural intrinsic beauty that bound them to her. Erin was set free from her kinsmen without protest or violence, naturally what she prepared for without an ill thought confining any of her greatest accomplishments until the very end. One of the greatest philosophers, Epicurus, struggled on his own concluding path in life during his illness, like your departed angel, did not allow his doctors to give themselves airs, as if their work was important. Instead, continued life in its right and proper course. Erin shared the same powerful living philosophy, liberating herself from the obstacles that stood in the way of her aspiring, relentless determination. She was concerned only with the duty of the moment and the means of doing it, neither rejecting life nor fearing death.
